Description
Thirty-six years ago, the Assemblies of God in the Canary Islands was founded by US missionaries. In October1977, the first general convention was held. Their vision is to proclaim the gospel, and to be real people who express the love of God. The Canary Islands is working in strong partnership with the Gambian National Assemblies of God and other missions projects in Africa. They believe that the church is a bridge to reach society with the gospel.
The Movement Today
The Assemblies of God in the Canary Islands reports the following statistics: 65 ministers, 30 churches and preaching points, 4,000 members and adherents, and one Bible school with two extension programs enrolling a total of 50 students.
