The Evangelical Christian Church (Assemblies of God) in Italy (ADI) is a direct offshoot of an awakening, born simultaneously and independently in the beginning of the last century in several countries of the world.  In this mighty awakening, Christians of various denominations gathered in search of power from on high, and received the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the manifestation of “glossolalia,” or speaking in other tongues, which occurred on the day of Pentecost as recorded in the Bible.

Brother Loria was elected in 2007 and is the third president of the largest Evangelical group in Italy. Assemblee di Dio in Italia has 56,000 regular members, 16,000 Sunday School members, and 28,000 adherents for a total of 100,000 ADI evangelicals.  Assemblee di Dio in Italia has 537 pastors and 1,093 churches.  They sponsor children in many countries, operate a radio ministry, summer camps, and the Italian Bible Institute, serve in nursing homes, gypsy churches, and orphanages, and minister to abused children.
